    According to Wikipedia, Fake news is a type of yellow journalism or propaganda that consists of deliberate misinformation or hoaxes spread via traditional print and broadcast news media or online social media. (source)

    Firstly, check how believable the news is. Sometimes even if the news is believable it might still be fake though.

    Some tips for spotting fake news

      Tip 1 - Check other websites

      Check other news websites to see if they are covering the same stories. If they are not the it is most likely fake news.

        Tip 2 - Check if it is a reliable website

        Check the author’s name to see if it sounds serious and search to see if it is a real person.

          Tip 3 - Check the author's name

          Consider the source and check if it is a reliable website. Search for reviews on the website and see what other people say about it.
